Lots of big stuff coming up this summer for BYC! The new album is called Festival and it drops in July. We’ve got new tour dates on the way, new merch, vinyl editions of both the old and the new album, free downloads, new members, old members, photos, videos, parties, a live bootleg database and much, much more. Keep checking in here for more info as it’s announced.

In the meantime, here’s a preview track from the new album. Enjoy!:

Why You Shouldn’t Care About the Grammys

Repost from my former editor Nick Keppler that I heartily endorse:

The Grammys are on tonight! To remind you why you shouldn’t care, here is a list of people whose work has never earned them a Grammy: The Band, The Beach Boys, The Byrds, The Clash, Leonard Cohen, Sam Cooke, Credence Clearwater Revival, The Doors, The Grateful Dead, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Led Zeppelin, Bob Marley, Curtis Mayfield, The Notorious B.I.G., The Ramones, Diana Ross, Sly and the Family Stone, Tupac Shakur, Talking Heads, The Who and Queen. And here is a list of people ignored until the ’90s: The Allman Brothers Band, Elvis Costello, Van Morrison, Pink Floyd and The Rolling Stones. Also, Bob Dylan got his first Grammy not for “Blowin’ in the Wind” or “Like a Rolling Stone” or even “Tangled Up in Blue” but for 1979’s “Gotta Serve Somebody.” David Bowie only has one Grammy and it is for a music video. Neil Young just one and it’s for a boxed set. That should be all you need to know.
